About Mary
For Mary, she treats life like looking in a mirror. Often therapists teach the very lessons they need to learn to heal their own lives and Mary was a perfect example of this. Growing up, she was one of 9 children and 2 adults under the same roof. She often felt unloved and unwanted, always searching for affection. Her low self esteem kept her from believing in herself. Mary was very successful at sport and running however she struggled in every day school work, lacking confidence and believing “she was not good enough”.
In her adult life she came across the self help book of ‘You Can Heal Your Life” written by Louise L Hay. After reading it and learning how to take responsibilities for her choices and decisions, Mary wished she could remember it well enough to teach. The author “Louise Hay is an American and Mary had no idea how she could ever do that.
One day, while standing at the counter to pay for her petrol, Mary noticed a little booklet advertising local businesses. Later she read about a local Louise Hay teacher and how she could fly to Perth and undertake an extensive healing course of self discovery with Mary Heath who at that time was the Australian Teacher of the Certified Louise Hay workshops.
Mary believes that her chosen life challenges have been her best resources to teach from her heart and the authentic knowledge of the pain it is possible for people to face and how difficult it can be for some people to take the first step to book into a workshop of this kind.
In 2002 she was certified a Louise Hay Teacher of “Heal Your Life” Courses.She began studying Reiki in the year 2000 and completed her Masters in Reiki in 2004.
Mary studied Spiritual Healing and Crystal Therapy.
Her career has included working with geriatrics and people who are disability challenged. Beginning her courses and Energy Healing Work in Queensland, Mary has launched her new business called Butterfly Transformations.
Her passion for this work is driven by the results she witnesses during the transformation of her students, noticing their body and verbal language change from when they start to the excited, positive people they become after completing her personal development courses.
Mary had a fully tenanted Healing Centre in country Adelaide and then travelled around Australia and feeling the need for warmth and light she settled in Queensland. Mary went to China in 2005 where she lived and worked for a year Teaching English to University Students. During this time she toured all over China in the school holidays enhancing an amazing experience of Chinese culture.
Time alone really helped Mary “walk the talk”, to seal the knowing of how important it is to feel happy in one’s own skin as she faced her challenges head on. Mary has two beautiful loving and caring sons, also living in Queensland.
